TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@iblmapleleafs) announced today the signing of 1st Baseman Jordan Castaldo (Toronto, On)

The 6'1" , 210 lb, 34 year old Castaldo is coming back for another season in the IBL. Castaldo graduated from Arkansas State and has made stops in Oshawa, Barrie and is now in his 3rd year in his 2nd stint with the Leafs. Castaldo is one of the greatest hitters to ever play in the IBL. He has won MVP awards, numerous All-Star Selections and many IBL Championships. He is a career .352 hitter (593-1683). His 593 hits is 9th all time in the IBL. He also sits 8th All-Time with 112 2B's, 5th All-Time in HR's with 85 and 6th All-Time in RBI's with 415. " Castaldo is one of the best ever. When motivated and hungry he can absolutely change games on his own, carry teams on his back and make for long nights on opponents. He has been very engaged in the off-season with the change in baseball operations and now he can focus on what he does best. Enjoy the game and Play!" GM Jeff Lounsbury

" 2023 will be my final IBL season and I look forward to putting on the blue and white one last time. For 28 years, this game has brought me much joy and happiness. I look forward to passing the baton to the next generation of ballplayers and I hope they wear the Leaf with as much pride as I have. I would like nothing more than to go out on top and I am excited for the team that the new leadership group has put together." Jordan Castaldo
