MAJORS SLUG THEIR WAY TO 20-4 VICTORY OVER MAPLE LEAFS

The Majors entered this game fresh off a crucial victory against the Welland Jackfish to take sole possession of first place in the CBL.

London, who was looking to advance their lead in the standings, sent Luis Perez to the mound. Perez was unbelievably efficient, throwing six innings of two-run ball, inducing soft contact throughout en route to the win.

On the Maple Leafs' side, it was Cam Dimidjian who looked good, allowing just two runs through four, but things unraveled in the fifth and sixth when the Majors batted around and chased him from the game.

London scored first, capitalizing on a couple of errors by the Leafs' defense in the second inning. Toronto answered back pretty quickly in the fourth inning on a two-run single by Matt Brandt.

London answered back once again with a two-run top of the fifth, scoring on some singles and productive outs by Starling Joseph, Tucker Zdunich and Eduardo De Olleo to give them a three-run lead.

Cam Dimidjian surrendered one run in the top of the sixth, causing the Leafs to turn to Kyle Poapst. Poapst surrendered five more runs, capped off by a Tucker Zdunich three-run shot to make it an 11-2 game.

The Majors kept pouring it on in the seventh, batting around once again and tacking on an additional four runs. Yasiel Puig added a two-run homer in the bottom half of the inning, driving in Ben Siterenios to make it a 15-4 game.

London solidified the 20-4 victory with a three-run eighth and a two-run ninth before Daniel Orfaly came in to close things out with a clean ninth inning to secure the victory.
