MAPLE LEAFS RE-SIGN JORDAN CASTALDO

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have re-signed First Baseman Jordan Castaldo for the 2025 season.

Castaldo, a multi-year MVP award winner and perennial All-Star, will return to the Maple Leafs in 2025 for his fifteenth year in the IBL and ninth with Toronto. A career .355 hitter that amassed 120 HR and 580 RBI over 613 IBL games, he tied his career-high in regular season games played with 40 in 2024 - a feat he achieved the year prior as well, in 2023. Last summer, Castaldo was third on the team in HR (6) and RBI (29), second in BB (32), and first in hits (49). He is top-ten in multiple offensive categories all-time in the IBL.

“Jordan is one of the best ever in the IBL, and we couldn’t be happier to have him back for another year. His offensive production continues to be amongst the best in the league, and he has the unique experience of being one of a few individuals who have won multiple championships,” said the club.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
