Maple Leafs Re-sign Outfielder Greg Carrington

TORONTO, Ontario –The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@MapleLeafsBaseball) announced today signing of outfielder Greg Carrington (Scarborough, On )

The 27 year old outfielder enters his 6th season with the Leafs and has the ability to play all 3 outfield spots. Carrington spent the 2021 season in the Peco’s League before returning to the Leafs in 2023. Last season, Greg hit .241 (19-79) with 2 HR’s and 20 RBI’s. Over his 5 seasons in the IBL Greg has hit .275 (124-451) with 6 HR’s and 68 RBI’s to go along with 15 SB’s.

“Greg has done a great job for us in a variety of roles. He can play all outfield spots, plays strong defense, still runs well and is a great teammate. Every team needs guys like Greg and we are pleased to have him return for 2024.” states GM Jeff Lounsbury  

Opening day is set for May 12 at 2:00pm at Christie Pits.
