MAPLE LEAFS SIGN BEN SITARENIOS

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have signed Right-Handed Pitcher/Outfielder Ben Sitarenios for the upcoming 2025 season.

Sitarenios, a native of Richmond Hill, attended Salem University (NCAA DII) and is a graduate of the Toronto Mets program in Ontario. Across four seasons, he amassed 46.2 Innings over 41 games for Salem University while striking out 41. Additionally, Sitarenios has been a member of Baseball Canada’s 22U National Championship tournament three years in a row representing Ontario, coming home with a gold and a silver. In 2024, Sitarenios played for the GTBL’s East York Bulldogs.

“The versatility Ben brings is something we’re always looking for, the ability to play multiple positions. He’s an East York kid, Rob knows him well, and we’re certain that with the experience and veteran presence on this team that Ben can take his play to another level. We’re very excited to see what he can do,” said the club.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
