MAPLE LEAFS SIGN EUGENE LEE
TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have signed Right-Handed Pitcher Eugene Lee for the 2025 season.
Lee, a native of Seoul, South Korea, has spent time with St. Andrew’s College and, more recently, with the McGill Redbirds. He has spent time with Baseball Development Group in Toronto over the last number of years, and can sit in the high-80’s with ease.
“We’re very excited with what we’ve seen out of Eugene in bullpens, he has a tremendously high work ethic and is always trying to improve - which is exactly what we want out of an arm like his. We expect Eugene to be an effective pitcher in this league,” said the club.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
