MAPLE LEAFS SIGN INFIELDER RANDO MORENO
TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have signed Infielder Rando Moreno for the upcoming 2025 season.
Moreno, a native of Monte Plata, Dominican Republic, spent seven seasons playing professional baseball within the San Francisco Giants organization, making it as high as AAA with the Sacramento River Cats in 2016. In addition, Moreno played with both the Long Island Ducks and New Britain Bees of the Atlantic League, a MLB Partner League that houses the likes of numerous former MLB players and is widely regarded as one of the highest levels of professional baseball in the United States.
“We’re incredibly excited to have Rando join us, his experience playing professional baseball at some of the highest levels will be invaluable to have on the field in Toronto. His athleticism and versatility on the infield, as well as the offensive prowess, we know he’s going to play a huge role for the team this summer,” said the club.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
