Pitcher Chris Nagorski Re-Signs for 2023
TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@iblmapleleafs) announced today the signing of Relief Pitcher Chris Nagorski (Toronto, On)
The 6' 2 , 210 lb, 33 year old Nagorski is coming back for another season in the IBL. Nagorski pitched for the OBJ's, before heading to Connors State and then transferred to Binghamton and graduated in 2012. During his long IBL career Nagorski pitched for Guelph, Barrie and last season returned to the IBL after 3 years and joined the Leafs.
Last season after picking up his 3rd save of the season Nagorski passed former Leaf David Hatch to move into 2nd all-time in the IBL in saves. In his IBL career he has pitched in 124 games, 248.1 Innings with a 12-13 record, 25 saves and 167 strikeouts. Last season, Chris pitched in 18 games, picking up 20 innings, had a 3-1 record with 3 saves with 15 strikeouts and only 5 walks.
" Nagorski has won multiple IBL championships and has pitched high leverage situations his whole career. That kind of experience is so appreciated and required if we are going to have a good season. He is like a coach as well, helping the younger pitchers deal with the IBL hitters and demands of the IBL schedule." GM Jeff Lounsbury
