Ryan Dos Santos returns to Toronto
TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@iblmapleleafs) announced today the signing of Outfielder Ryan Dos Santos (Caledonia, On)
Ryan returns for a full season with Toronto after playing 3 games in 2022 and 5 games in 2021. His last full season in 2019, he hit .365 (42-115) with 24 SB's. Dos Santos is currently at Tusculum. Last season for Tusculum he hit .304 (34-111) with 8 2b's and 12 RBI's. Prior to that he hit .336 in 2021 with SW Oklahoma State and .303 in 2019 for Dodge City JC.
"As you can see Ryan has been a consistent .300 hitter everywhere he has played. We can't wait to have him in the lineup everyday. He will hit, steal bases and the older he gets he will add some power as he did hit his first IBL Homerun last year in his 3 games played. Ryan has been very engaged this off-season, which I think is great to see. He is getting more and more excited about the possibilities of this team for 2023". GM Jeff Lounsbury
Upon returning this year Ryan stated " I am excited to steal some bases for the bushman and play at home this summer".
The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
