TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS RE-SIGN RHP DREW HOWARD
TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have re-signed Right-Handed Pitcher Drew Howard for the upcoming 2026 season.
Howard, a former member of the Toronto Mets program, will enter his second year with the Maple Leafs in 2026 after appearing in seven games with Toronto in 2025, going 2-2 while striking out 23 in 22 ⅓ innings. Prior to joining Toronto, Howard pitched with Young Harris College (NCAA) and went 4-0 over nine starts.
In 2024 with the University of Tampa, Howard won a National Championship with the Spartans while tossing a 3.45 ERA and recording 3 saves. With East York Juniors in the 22U Canadian National Elimination tournament, Howard tossed a no-hitter alongside fellow Maple Leaf Ben Sitarenios and 2025 Jr. Maple Leaf Matt Brandt - two of multiple CBL players to appear in the tournament - en route to winning a Silver Medal.
Howard is the sixth Maple Leaf to return after being with the squad in 2025, and the third pitcher to return.
