TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS RE-SIGN RHP LUIS FLORENTINO

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have signed Right-Handed Pitcher Luis Florentino for the upcoming 2026 season.

Florentino, who made his league debut with the Maple Leafs in 2025, returns for year two after putting up fantastic numbers last summer. A shiny 3.00 ERA over 36 innings while striking out 46 notched him an All-Star selection, solidifying himself as one of the best relievers in CBL during the latter-half of 2025. 

Florentino notched his first official save on August 5th, amidst a run that saw him allow just one earned run in 12 ⅔ innings from July 24th to August 27th.

The imposing righty originally spent three seasons in the then-Oakland Athletics organization from 2019-2022, followed by a one-year stint with the Northern Colorado Owlz of the Pioneer League (PION) in 2023.
