TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS SIGN INFIELDER YORDAN MANDULEY
TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have signed Infielder Yordan Manduley for the upcoming 2026 season.
Manduley, an All-Star with Kitchener in 2025, joins the Maple Leafs after slashing .328/.377/.445 with the Panthers this past summer while notching 4 HR, 18 RBI, and 11 SB. He struck out just nine times in 137 at-bats, good for an incredible 6% strikeout rate. Manduley ended his year with a ten-game hit streak, while recording base-knocks in 19 of his final 20 games.
The soon-to-be 40-year-old will enter his 20th season of ball in 2026, after having made his professional debut in 2005 with Holguin in the Cuban National Series (CNS). A mainstay with both Cuba and the Quebec Capitales of the Canadian-American Association (CANAM), Manduley has amassed over 1,600 games in his career and consistently hitting above .300.
He has also spent time with the Cuban National Team (WBC), Las Tunas (CNS), Magallanes (VEWL), Tren (NICW), Artemisa (CNS), and Villa Clara (CNS). Manduley is a two-time Silver Medal winner at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 2018 and 2023, and has appeared in multiple Pan-Am Games tournaments.
Alongside Vasili Kaloudis and Reinaldo De Paula, Yordan Manduley is Toronto’s third import signing this offseason.
