TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS SIGN LHP NICK VESELINOVIC

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have signed Left-Handed Pitcher Nick Veselinovic for the upcoming 2026 season.

The LaSalle, Ontario native joins the Maple Leafs after spending four seasons with Niagara University (NCAA) and Winthrop University (NCAA). He has also spent time in the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) with the Sylvan Lake Gulls in both 2022 and 2025, combining for a total of 24 appearances with 79 strikeouts over 67 ⅓ innings. Currently, Veselinovic is pitching with the Adelaide Angels of the South Australian Baseball League (SABL) and, across 28 innings, has put together a 4.12 ERA while going 2-2 and striking out 35. 

Across 31 outings for Niagara from 2022-2024, Veselinovic went 5-2 while striking out 71 over 71 innings. After joining Division-1 Winthrop, he amassed 25 innings over 18 appearances, striking out 30 - including an outing of four shutout innings against North Carolina A&T that saw Veselinovic pick up his first victory. 

The 6’4”, 220-pound lefty is a Windsor Selects alumni, and will make his CBL debut with Toronto in 2026.
