TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS SIGN RHP JAXEN LEHR

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have signed right-handed pitcher Jaxen Lehr for the 2027 season.

Lehr, a native of Angus, Ontario, joins the Maple Leafs after having spent the past four collegiate seasons in the United States appearing with the Salem University Tigers (NCAA), Genesee Community College Cougars (NJCAA), and Bethany Lutheran Vikings (NCAA) from 2023-2026.

A former Ontario Titan, Lehr played alongside the likes of Matt Brandt, Jamie Cabral, Drew Howard, Ben Sitarenios, and Ethan Boisvert - all of whom have dawned the white and blue in Toronto. During his time with Salem University, he was teammates with the aforementioned Sitarenios, as well as Frankie Gulko.

Lehr was a member of the 2024 22U East York Bulldogs team that made it to the Canadian National Championship in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, who played alongside a number of former and current Maple Leafs.

In 2025, Lehr tossed a mercy-shortened complete game against Corning Community College, while appearing in 12 games and tossing 29 innings. Then, with Bethany Lutheran this past season, he won both the conference and regional championships with the Vikings while also helping them notch their fourth consecutive regular season title.
