Toronto signs Pitcher Daniel Procopio

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@iblmapleleafs) announced today the signing of Right Handed Pitcher Daniel Procopio (Toronto, On)

The 6' 0 , 190 lb, Pitcher will returning home to pitch in Toronto after spending 4 years playing in the Los Angeles Angels farm system.  Procopio pitched in the Canada Cup in 2011-12, for the Junior National Team in 2012-13 and was drafted by the New York Mets in the 22nd rd in 2013.

Procopio decided to go to school where he spent 1 season at NJCAA Div.1 Seminole State College before transferring to NCAA Div.1 Niagara University where in his 2017 Senior year picked up 6 wins and 75 strikeouts in 58 Innings. He spent some time in the IBL with Kitchener before being drafted in the 10th round by the Los Angeles Angels. 

Daniel spent 2017-21 in the minors reaching AA. He picked up 4 wins, 4 saves and 144 strikeouts in 120 Innings.
