Tymochko returns for 2024
TORONTO, Ontario – The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@MapleLeafsBaseball) announced today signing of right handed pitcher Julian Tymochko (Etobicoke, On)
Tymochko started the 2023 season in the Frontier League with 4 appearances before joining the Welland Jackfish in the IBL. A mid-season trade brought Julian back to Toronto, where he pitched in 11 games with 10 strikeouts in 8.2 IP.
In 2022, Julian pitched for the Okotoks Dawgs of the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) going 5-2. In 2021, Julian pitched for the Edmonton Prospects of the WCBL. Prior thereto, Julian was a standout two-way player for McMaster University.
“We are looking forward to Julien rejoining our team and are excited to see him out on the mound for the 2024 season” said GM Jeff Lounsbury
“I am really excited to be back this summer and see all the familiar faces at the Pits!” stated Tymochko
The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
