“I love Marek, I have competed against him since his days at U of T, and I have a tremendous amount of respect for him. He understands pitching, he understands the game, and he still loves to compete and he is doing it still at a very high level. He gives us a chance to win every time he has the ball and he can teach our young pitchers so much about pitching and being a pro.” GM Jeff Lounsbury

The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
