TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS RE-SIGN INFIELDER SPENSER ROSS
TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have re-signed Infielder Spenser Ross for the upcoming 2026 season.
Ross, who joined the Maple Leafs via a trade with Kitchener prior to 2025, will enter his second season in Toronto and third overall in the league. Debuting with the Panthers in 2024, he was selected to the All-CBL 2nd Team after hitting .310 over 33 games while showcasing stellar defense.
Ross spent four years with the Lawrence Vikings (NCAA) before returning to Ontario and suiting up for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues (OUA) alongside recently-signed Kirk Gibson. This past summer with the Maple Leafs, Ross slashed .257/.423/.294 with 13 RBI across 35 games. He has won multiple OUA Championships with the Varsity Blues.
He is the fifth infielder signed by the Maple Leafs this offseason and the thirteenth signing overall.
